The Tutorial Support Service works in partnership with teachers, schools and parents in the delivery of pupil education. The programme is available for children aged 4 to 12 years [reception to year 7] for English and maths, children aged 5 to 12 years [year1 to year 7] for science. As the key subjects of English, maths and science are available, participating pupils’ performances in key stages 1 and 2 are dramatically improved. All courses are individually constructed to each pupil's needs because every child matters. Improved ability and confidence in English, maths and science overspills into all other curricular lessons, thus improving all round performance and making the transition from Primary to Secondary education a rewarding and comfortable experience. Education in itself is a long term commitment. However the bite sized chunks of the National Curriculum enable the long term goals to be achieved within progressive short term blocks. The Tutorial Support Service offers a structured course of study that checks and double checks the pupil's performance on a regular basis. The Tutorial Support Service monitors, evaluates and rewards a pupil's studies. Pupils are rewarded for their success with Certificates of Excellence. Termly assessments assist the ongoing monitoring and successful pupils are rewarded with Diplomas. Regular monitoring allows the Tutorial Support Service the opportunity to identify pupils that may need extra tuition such as specific home tutoring by a qualified teacher.
